This release of Council Platform focuses on future-proofing. We have upgraded over 100 Drupal community modules to make them compatible with the latest version of the software the platform runs on, Drupal 11.
Foster for Plymouth is a not-for-profit fostering organisation that’s part of Plymouth City Council and the latest addition to Plymouth's suite of Council Platform's satellite websites.
As part of our work on the new Foster for Plymouth website, we've expanded the Events functionality so that sign-up forms can be attached to them.
We've extended the “What You See Is What You Get” (WYSIWYG) content editor of the Platform to support setting of the aria-label attribute for both Link and Button components. This avoids creating an accessibility issue for links with differing locations but the same link text.
The latest version of the Platform includes functionality for setting "custom thumbnails" for the "File" component of the content editor.
LiveGreatwell.com becomes the latest site built with the Platform. We're particularly pleased that such a complex visual design is responsive, accessible and fully content editable.
"Find your local councillor" functionality is now live on Rochford.gov.uk, allowing citizens to easily find their councillors by entering their postcode and picking their property from an auto-populated list.
