Foster for Plymouth is a not-for-profit fostering organisation that’s part of Plymouth City Council and the latest addition to Plymouth's suite of Council Platform's satellite websites. Foster for Plymouth actively seek out local homes for local children that act as a thriving environment and allows them to achieve their dreams with the right carers.
The project shows off the flexibility of Council Platform's look and feel, complete with subtle animations that occur when a user scrolls down a page.
To make it easier for Plymouth staff to build out the site, we created Patterns - reusable groupings of animated web elements - that they could insert on any page and customise the content for, such as the one below:
Fostering allowances
We know how important emotional and financial support is when offering care to a child or young person, so we offer all of our carers competitive payments & generous allowances and ensure every single one is supported in their fostering journey.
In most websites, special pages such as the Homepage have to be configured using a template built by an experienced web developer, but with Foster for Plymouth we made it so that special pages can be edited like any other page, allowing total customisation and making site design accessible to Plymouth staff.
